Graphic Design

Ever since I was young, I’ve always had a fascination for animation, video games, and digital entertainment as a whole. When I entered the field of graphic design during my freshman year of college, my whole life changed for the better. I’ve been learning so many new concepts and ideas relating to design; from designing your own ideas, to making vectorized posters.

Endangered Species Poster

Bengal tiger

There are many beautiful animals all over the world, but some of those creatures are endangered. This includes animals like tigers, sea turtles, rhinos, or even polar bears to an extent. The causes of these animals’ increasing rarities range from human activity to climate change. For one of my projects in my Digital Design Tools class, I made not 1, not 2, but 3 vector posters expressing awareness of these creatures’ endangered status.

Many species of sea turtle have become endangered due to pollution in the ocean; that’s why I said ‘plastic’s biggest victim’ when making this poster.

Tigers are some of the most beautiful creatures on Earth. It truly is a shame that there are less than 4,000 left in the wild.

Many rhino species have become endangered mainly for their horns. The black rhino is one of the rarest, with its population being limited to about 6,500.

Wrestling Posters

When I first started Graphic Design Studio, we were all assigned to different clients in order to teach us how to work as a team on graphic design projects, just like in the real world. One of the first clients I was assigned to was the Wrestling Federation of America. At first, I was a little unsure about this assignment, due to me not being a big wrestling fan, but after experiencing the feeling of being on a team, I enjoyed myself enormously, and I must say our graphic skills were very impressive. Our main goal was to promote a big wrestling show on campus, and the show was a huge success. In fact, I’m actually on the wrestling team again for this year’s studio class, and another big show is coming to campus in a few weeks! Here are some of the wrestling posters I’ve made for the past show and this year’s show!

Moshpit, with his tough-guy demeanor, is one of the most popular wrestlers in the program. Making this poster for last year’s show, I wanted to go for a volcanic background to reflect his ‘inner-fury’, so to speak. I also utilized a pun within the slogan in this poster with the whole ‘Moshpit’ play-on-words.

Another fan-favorite from the program, Love-Doug, as his name implies, incorporates love all over his personality, even showing up in his outfit! This is yet another poster I made for last year’s show, so it isn’t as flashy as the work I make today, but its still a poster I’m very proud of, and certainly one that I love (no pun intended).

This poster, promoting the show happening this year in a couple of weeks, takes a more general approach when it comes to its content. Rather than focusing on one wrestler, I wanted this one to feature two of them, as if there’s a wrestling match going on in the graphic itself. The two wrestlers in question are one of the Duke Boys, as well as Scott Reed (who was our client for this team). One key difference compared to the other two posters are the sheer number of sponsors we have! This year, the wrestling team’s show is going to be bigger and better than ever before, even taking place in the large gym as opposed to the smaller gym!
